Oh good, I was wondering why we were getting so little on this movie when it's so close.

Also, darn, for a second I thought that book with Woody and Buzz on the cover was a crossover. [Sad_zpsb02439e1]

I'm starting to like the character designs more and more! Great covers! Hopefully we'll be getting some more concept art, stills and articles about the film really soon!

Yeah, for anyone interested, we wrote up a post the other day that sorts all of the books by release date and shows a ton of the cover images as well! Man, the artwork for these looks so amazing!! The more I see, the more excited I get for this film! And check out the scavenger dinosaurs lounging back picking their teeth after a meal on the Big Golden Book cover! [Big-Grin_zps23ec4c40]

Great covers! I see what looks like a small house of stone in the background of the Big Golden Book-- could it possibly be a home where the farmer dinosaurs stay? It does look like it is at the edge of a field.
The scavenger dinosaurs actually look cool to me. Weird how I like the scavenger and Spot designs, but I don't like the designs for Arlo, the pterodactyls, or the tyrannosaurs...

I wonder who's house that is as well. It could definitely be where the dinosaurs live, but it's also possible that the humans live there. I don't know if we're even going to see any other humans in this movie besides Spot, and if we are, will they be more civilized (similar to the characters in for example DreamWork's The Croods) or are they all going to be animal-like.

If there are other humans I can't really think of any reason for them to be more civilized than Spot (unless he has some kind of "Raised by animals" thing going on). So I'm going to guess that if the humans show up they won't have a house.

I think it's safe to assume that Spot does have some kind of "Raised by animals" thing going on, because he's all alone right? We learned from the scene shown at D23 (I am dying for Disney to hurry up and release it to the general public) what happened to his parents. And although primitive, Spot does have the skills to make and maintain that loincloth thing that he wears, or, more likely, perhaps his parents made it before they died - indicating at least some level of modern human skills.

However, if the dinosaurs are farmers and have been confirmed to be the civilized species, that would be the safer option. But I thought Sohn scrapped the farmers idea when he took over the movie? Or did he merely tune it down? In any case, though, we can see from the trailer that Arlo has some shelter making skills, so it's definitely possible the house is for dinosaurs. In fact, the only thing I can see that would go against the the-house-belongs-to-the-dinosaurs theory is that it looks so small compared to the trees next to it, and looks like it wouldn't fit a family of apatosauruses, when you take into account the fact that Arlo is merely a kid (so a full grown apatosaurus would be much bigger and taller).

Hmm, well it could be that Arlo helped build a shelter for Spot. Or that they built it together, strengthening their friendship. There's also the fact that he could have built it for someone else or that some other dinosaur built it.

Yup, the farming element is still part of the film, just not as major of a plot point any more.
