Pixar Post - T.J.
Just a quick note that the Disney Movies Anywhere YouTube Channel released a 5-minute clip of the Fireball Beach scene. In anticipation of the clips which they'll release of the Blu-ray extras as well, I wanted to start a topic to share the longer ones.

I actually really like that deleted scene (More Than New Paint) It makes for a realistic yet sad image of how the beloved Lightning McQueen who once was a child favourite is ripped apart from his identity as a racer. Ever since Cars 3 released the summer I found out other ways to end Cars 3 to be more justified for McQueens character. I used to really adore the movie but I feel very dissapointed that McQueen follows the footsteps of Hudson, cause that takes away McQueen's character who should be his own. I hope there's more deleted scenes for the climax cause I would like to see how they actually intended to end it. Still like the movie but I don't deny that it was very flawed in the climax.

In my opinion that deleted scene was great and all but if it really ended that way... i would have been so upset that lightning didnt even had a chance to prove himself on the track (just like hudson hornet) and then cruz would have stolen the number off him... im glad they changed it!

I also hope they bring back the old McQueen just like in the 1st and 2nd movie because in the 3rd one he looks very sad and depressed! They need to do something about it!

Disney released an extended version of 95: The Untold Story of Lightning McQueen. The new version is 3 minutes longer and goes into much greater detail on McQueen’s backstory.
