Interesting idea to have prequel... But I am a little confused. Would it take plaçe during the time when Elsa was locked up in her room and Anna just hung around the castle? Because if so, that doesn't sound very interesting to me, since we saw all that time condensed in just a few minutes of film and it seemed like it covered everything. If you are talking about having it take place during and before Elsa's birth, that would be very interesting. But I would not want to see how she dealt with them, as you said. I would only want to see HOW she got her powers in the prequel.
I guess you are right about that. It would be very boring and pointless to see her childhood. But I was thinking of it taking place before the birth of Elsa and Anna until the end... But perhaps the kids will find it boring to not have Elsa and Anna for most of the movie?

Also, it was confirmed that Olaf would be in the sequel, so I'm not sure how they could fit him in a prequel.

Oooooh, yes, please, some explanation on the powers would be fantastic.

I know a lot of people claim it doesn't matter, but as far as I'm concerned you don't get to play the "Powers are just normal here" card and the "Powers are so strange and feared" card in the exact same movie for the exact same place and expect people not to want an explanation.

The Frozen buzz was fun, up until after the DVD release. I love the music, the story, the animation, everything. But the fans are going nuts! A technique when I'm babysitting or sitting behind small kids in church, I ask the girls what their favorite princess is (boys get asked about superheroes). It has become so rare for a girl to ask for anyone other than Anna or Elsa. I almost jump for joy when a girl says her favorite is Belle or Rapunzel, or better yet, Merida! Just what people need, another Frozen Fever epidemic. I'm even a little wary of them upsetting what I like about it. Remember when Anna and Elsa came to Storybrooke for Once Upon a Time? I hated that. Not because of the fact that it was feeding the Frozen madness, but that they messed everything up. I also hate what Frozen has done to geek conventions. At the last two Salt Lake Comic Cons, HALF of the Disney/Pixar cosplays were Frozen. I saw more Snow Queens than Snow Whites.

More in another post this is getting long.

Here's part two.

On the other hand, I'm exited to see what they do with it. There were a couple loose ends that could be tied up, but I'd really just rather those be told with a short film. One of the things I'd like to see is a love interest for Elsa. I hate it when people ship her with Jack Frost (Dreamworks' Rise of the Guardians) or worse, Hans. *shudder* If Elsa gets a canon boyfriend, it'll shut Jelsa/Helsa down. There is one thing I like about the Elsa ships: fan art like this:
*slow claps* Elsa's line of suitors

OMGOMGOMGOMG LOKI AND ELSA ITS TO PERFECT!!!! And jack is all like "don't touch my woman" even though I ship jelsa, I still think that if Loki was an animated character I would totally ship him and Elsa. Losa!!!!!

Speaking of Frozone and Frozen:
"Do you wanna build a snowman??" "No!"

I sincerely doubt a canon love interest would do anything to stop shippers. They really keep going no matter what.
