True, but we also saw him in Dream Productions, and his personality is described to be very goofy. So maybe thanks to Bing Bong she has that personality, and as she lets go of that personality, she deletes Bing Bong from her memory. And it´s a life lesson of letting things go when you grow up.

This is Pete Docter, this movie WILL be a Tear Jerker, but in what part of the movie?

I wasn't saying that because the trailer showed him in Imagination Land; he's an imaginary friend. It just seems natural that the imaginary friend would be mainly connected to Imagination Land.

Not to say it's not possible he's strongly connected to the goofball island, though.

I figured the tearjerker bits would mostly be about Riley's relationship with her parents, but Bing Bong could have some himself. Plus there's the fact that he apparently cries. Still not sure about it since it doesn't seem to come out his eyes [tongue] He seems like he's a positive comedic relief for the most part, though. I wonder who's voicing him?

But there was also that one scene where Sadness was extremely upset on that cloud and it made me wonder what was going on. She looks so cute T.T

I also think Imagination Land is Bing Bong ' s main spot but maybe he travels a lot, and Goofball Island is a place he likes?

Yes, even I have given this a lot of tought and came to the conclusion that he would be most associated with Imagination Land. But Regardless, we saw him in Dream Productions and in the rainbow scooter thing. You can even see a very very very brief shot of him in long term memory. Which one can only asume he can go to different places of the mind. Moreover, Personality Islands seem like something that is just there to symbolize Riley as a whole. Bing Bong could most definetly be the reason she was a goofball. After all, this is a very complex movie and one can only speculate till we actually watch it.

Indeed yes, Riley´s memories with her parents will most likely be the main tear jerker of the movie. But hell, I don´t even remember my imaginary friend. And my mom says that I had one. Kids are bound to forget their imaginary friends, so seeing this from Bing Bong´s point of view could be really sad. Seeing Riley forget about him and maybe slowly fade in her mind. Or it could be very satisfying if he ends up being the villain.

Why must every disney/pixar movie have a villain? What if this is one of the first one's that don't?

I could see this being the case, since they've done movies without a villain in the past (Finding Nemo, and apparently in the Good Dinosaur nature is the antagonist). It very well could be something intangible that is the antagonist....but then again, this movie gives representations to the intangible.

You are misquoting me greatly, I said he could be a villain, I didn´t say every movie has to have a villain, let alone a Pixar movie.

Finding Nemo didn´t have a villain - it had obstacles.

Toy Story as well, Sid wasn´t a villain, he was also an ostacle they needed to overcome.

Cars didn´t have a villain, Mcqueen had a rival.

Sid was definitely a villain. I think Chick technically was, too, since he was the reason Lightning was even trying to get to California so quickly, and was the only source of real conflict in the final race.

But yeah, Finding Nemo had no villain.

Well, while I would LOVE to strangle Chicks in the neck anytime. (however you strangle a car). It´s debatable if he is a villain or not. But Finding Nemo, we can all agree, had no villain. Inside Out, looks like a very 50/50 chance at this point. I mean this is, afterall, a Pete Docter movie. He does the good person revealed as villain thing.

Monsters Inc - Waternoose. Good, then bad.

Up - Charles Muntz. Good, then bad.

He was also a main writer in Toy Story 2. Stinky Pete. Good, then bad.

I wouldn´t be surprised if we see Bing Bong turn into a villain after being friendly and a goofball.

Interesting development. I tried to find the Inside Out section on the Fathead website, but it seems to be gone. If you google for it and click on the choices that look like the right thing, it redirects to the overall Disney Fatheads.

Good thing we save some of these aspects before they were taken down, as they are pretty interesting.
