So a lot of you guys have already heard about how *censored* big Riley’s memory landscape is, it even crashed pixar’s render computers while making it!

So today, we are going to calculate HOW big that landscape is:

Riley is 11 years old, so thats 4015 days.

(11 x 365)

every day (wild guess) about 200 memories are made.

So Riley has around 803.000 of them.

(200 x 4015)

Every orb is about 30-40 cm (IRL) big.
(based on joy holding one and acknowledging that joy is about 1 meter 75 or so)
Every upwards “row” of memories in the landscape is about 12 orbs high.

So every 30-50 cm in the a memory tray is 12 orbs.

so 1 meter is about 24 orbs

803.000 / 24 =

Have good luck finding one specific memory…. *trollface*

Let's start off by keeping it nice on the forum. I think we all agree it's better to not use words like f****ing. I personally don't mind but there are also younger members on the forum.

I don't really know about your idea. I don't think all Riley's memories will be stored, only the important ones. I also don't think we make about 200 memories that will stay with us a day. I'd say less than 10 that are really important.

Yeah, I think it's been said somewhere that at the end of the day the emotions dump the unimportant memories and move the important ones to a permanent holding facility.

Sorry, censored that.

Yes, I remember back when the forum started T.J. and Julie stated on their podcast that there should be no foul language. It personally bothers me as well. Since I don't know many of you by face or voice, I get my impression of you guys from your writing and I really like all of you, so bad language will really hurt my impressions. Apology accepted. [smile]
Also, that is crazy cool! The scope of this movie boggles my mind...

Yeah, when I first joined the forums, I thought it was for older Pixar fans, but the only real curse I did was a single "hell".

I'm not really a curser so it doesn't really matter to me.

Yes, the memories do stack up alright.

Pixar Post - T.J.
Interesting thought since the total size of the "memory bank" isn't anything I've thought of.

As far as the language, let me just put a cap on it. Yeah, we're strict about it and we all slip from time to time. No biggie, just be careful moving forward. Thanks everyone for watching over the forum as well - we really do appreciate it and know that we have a great community here. I'm not so worried about who sees the poor language based on age, I just think a clean environment is a classier environment and that's why we wrote it into the rules of the forum and why we carry it over the podcast and website in general.

As a reminder for anyone that may have forgotten or hasn't looked, be sure to take a look at the overall forum rules.
