Pixar Post - T.J.
According to /Film, Disney and Pixar have released a series of upcoming project dates for several untitled and unannounced projects today. According the post, we can expect to see new Pixar movies on June 17, 2016 (most likely Lee Unkrich's Dia De Los Muertos movie), June 16, 2017, November 22, 2017 and June 15, 2018.

It's interesting to see these dates for sure - that's interesting to see for sure! What could these projects be?

I agree, Lee's Dia De Los Muertos film will be one of these projects. I'm excited to see what the other two are! If I was to take a guess, I think we might see something from Teddy Newton and Mark Andrews. We've heard they are both working on new projects, and Teddy is working with a writer.

That's a great thought for sure Jeff - on our post a reader speculated Teddy as well as Mark would be the two directors for the upcoming projects as well. Like you said though, only time will tell what the stories will be about...so many secrets tied up in Pixar's Brooklyn building!

Oh, I should also note that we're kind of hoping that one of those may be a John Lasseter directed film as well. We'd love to see him leading a project again too...so we're keeping our fingers crossed for that option as well.

It would be great to see Lasseter back at the helm of a movie, but I've got to think with his scheduled between both Disney & Pixar he wouldn't have time for directing a film. But you know those Pixar folks, just a little driven. . .

Pretty sure that the two films in 2017 will be one original and one sequel, that makes the most sense. Im really hoping they put the pedal to the metal and Brad Bird comes in to hopefully direct Incredibles 2 for 2017.. but if we don't hear him confirm it in the next 1-2 years, its never going to happen.

I'm very excited to see what Mark Andrews will do.

in an ideal world, Lassater will decide to finally cut the crap and give us Newt

Hey Bunfoo - Newt would have been great to see for sure...but I think that one is fully sunken and I don't see that one getting resurrected. Stranger things have happened, I just don't see that one.

i agree, it probably is dead.. but the story is probably still sitting around. might as well have people work on it when they aren't doing anything.

I think November 22 is definitely a sequel, because an original movie in the summertime will bring in more money than a sequel would, and Pixar usually releases movies in the summertime, so for a sequel they would do a holiday premiere.

It's nice looking on at this years later when we know more [tongue] so we know that Finding Dory is in 2016. I'm willing to bet that the two 2017 films are Cars 3 and Day of the Dead, and 2018 is Incredibles 2.

But Toy Story 4 is coming out in 2017... Also, I don't think Cars 3 will come out anytime in the next five years cause John Lassetter wants to direct Toy Story 4, so he needs to get that out of the way before starting or continuing with Cars. And I bet the other film is also the Day of the Dead film. Hopefully we get something in D23.

I don't think John is going to direct Cars 3 - I believe another director will take that on.

Well this is good news, since despite my reservations I'm still more excited about TS4 than Cars 3 lol. I didn't realize it already had a release date.
