Well, even though we don't have an original film for 2016, we have Coco in 2017, and possibly unannounced films for 2018 and 2019. I think it was said that Bob Peterson is working on something else after being taken off Good Dino, and there might be an original film from either Mark Andrews or Dan Scanlon (unless one of them is doing Cars 3, but even if so, the other would be working on something else), and Pete Docter is probably working on his next film already, which, if his current film output rate is any indication, would mean his next film should come in 2019 or 2020. And Docter revealed there's at least one unannounced film being made at Pixar during the Pixar tour given to those who went to the Insider Access advanced screening for Inside Out. However, yes, the "sequel every other year" probably won't happen until after The Incredibles 2 looking at this.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!! Perfect timing too, after all the awesome announcements that have some out today. I agree... There is probably a lot of original ideas being juggled around at Pixar at the moment. Pete did mention more than once that he has ideas that he would like to start pitching ASAP. There was a 8 year gap between Monsters Inc and Up. And a 6 year gap between Up and Inside Out. So it's safe to assume we will get another Pete Docter film in 6-8 years. Although I also agree with Bonnie. 4 sequels in their slate could be a bit much.. especially for Pixar. But yeah... We still have The Good Dinosaur and Coco which are both originals. Judging from the reactions people had watching the clips of The Good Dinosaur, we are in for an emotional ride!

Really clever how they put the ll into the logo. But if this means the film won't have a subtitle, I am bummed because Pixar had an opportunity to make a really cool title here that they can't really do anywhere else!

I actually think that their ratio of original films to sequels is pretty good, seeing as they had 2 originals this year and will have Coco. So that's 3:4, not counting the alleged original one that is as yet undisclosed. It's all thanks to that Good Dinosaur delay that they're all shaken up

Wow that "Bonnie" is a big ball of sunshine isn't she? Holy hell.

With the sequels planned, I think it's a great slate of upcoming films. I am not a Cars fan but Incredibles and Dory seem perfect and I think these are going to be great.

Let people have their opinions. I personally find Bonnie's arguments to have a very strong structure, whether they are positive or negative. Plus this forum is also about sharing opinions, if every fan had the same opinion, why have a forum in the first place?

And yeah I have a very strong feeling about Finding Dory and The Incredibles 2 as well.

Luis... I appreciate all points of view. Nothing good comes from only "yes" people. But my little tiny statement was aimed at he fact that "bonnie" really loves the negative side of everything. So just relax ok? I offered some good thoughts as well.

Wow this is an uptight group.

Let's all take a deep breath! We're good! Everyone here is pretty defensive of each other, so it's actually kind of cool to see everyone jump in to help each other - especially the folks that have been chatting on the forum for a long time!

I don't think this group is "uptight", if anything people are very friendly here, I personally felt very comfortable with these group of people when I joined long ago. But using sarcasm to disagree with someone is very rude, especially if you use words like "holy hell". Some people are more critical than others, nothing wrong with that, its always good to have a diverse group. No hurt feelings, if anything I'm glad to have another hilarious member here!

Sorry if I was being 'uptight" that is clearly not the impression I want to give. Tried my hardest not to come across as rude, don't like being rude at all.

I personally like reading Bonnie's comments. And this is the most civilized group of people I've come across on the Internet. The second most civilized tend to be generalized book fandoms (certain groups anyway).

I don't think it is uptight here. Like Luis said, if anything people are very friendly here. HeimlichIsMyRealFather, I don't think you have been here long enough to see that. And if you don't like people acting uptight, saying something mean about another user won't help one bit.

Yes, totally! This forum isn't uptight at all and the users are quite nice. [smile]
