You bet Luis, I do love photography. I don't have as much time to pursue it as much as I'd like currently, but here's my photography business website, Darkroom Visuals.

Very cool website!! Those are very awesome pictures too!! You must be a very busy person! [Silly_zps7c205e8c]

It's really interesting to see everyone's personalities explained in detail! I'm always fascinated by getting a glimpse into how other people's minds work, so thanks for sharing! [smile]

I had a hard time coming up with only five islands, so my choices ended up being kinda abstract. In no particular order except for the first one:
  • Creativity Island (This is definitely the biggest and most important one. It's different from Imagination Land in that I need to express my creativity in various ways; let's say it's "powered" by Imagination Land. I engage in writing, drawing/painting, playing/writing music on various instruments, embroidery, game design... and a bunch more. And yes, that's mainly why I never have enough time - too many hobbies.)
  • Compassion Island (I immensely enjoy giving. Not because I want to hear "oh, it's so nice of you to do that for me," but because I genuinely delight in making people happy. I also always take care not to hurt anyone's feelings, but not in a way triggered by Fear, but more by Joy and our empathic friend Sadness. [wink] And I'm definitely someone with whom you can share your problems in the hopes of feeling better about them afterwards.)
  • Friendship Island (Wanted to call this "Relationship Island," but that sounds like the romance meaning. My friends are everything to me because they're awesome people, and because I can be 100% myself around them, which is immensely liberating. But I like interacting with people in general.)
  • Humor Island (As soon as someone says something, I immediately (and automatically) associate it around five corners and then crack a joke about it that's horribly out of context for most people around me. [wink] In general, I have a hard time not being flippant or snarky about things, though I can (and will) be serious if the situation requires it (see Compassion Island).)
  • Mystery Island (I love problem-solving, which results in me enjoying good stories, challenging video games, but also stuff like learning new languages or tinkering with riddles, among others. I'm actually a software developer - which probably sounds strange after all that other stuff. [wink] But it combines problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration, so it's fun.)
People who know me personally would be immensely surprised that I didn't list a Pixar Island, but that's just the thing about Pixar movies - I love them so much because they stimulate all five of my islands. Creative and hilarious stuff with wonderfully true and relatable personalities, beautiful friendship stories, and awesome plot twists? How cool is that?

Am i late for the party? Nevermind, here are my islands:
  • Video game island (I'm a big gaming nerd)
  • Technical island (I love everything technical, especially computers)
  • Humor/goofball island (I like intelligent jokes and making them (its also similar to Untoldstories' Humor island, btw))
  • Logical island (Connected directly with abstract thought. I like thinking about problems and solving them.)
  • Media island (music, movies, comics and cartoons, all amazing to me!)

I really really love this thread, it gives us a little more information about each other and to get to know everyone a little more

And yes, Luis, you weren't expecting it, I really love awards shows (including the Oscars, my personal favorite) I remember one time in 2011 I went to my theater to watch ALL TEN BEST PICTURE NOMINEES (including Toy Story 3) I thankfully didn't sleeped through one movie, but I remember my mom telling me I sleeped during one scene of The Kids are All Right

I've never actually seen Inside Out, but I participated in the Inside Out takeover on Club Penguin. My Personality Islands would be:

  • Disney Island--because I love all things Disney, especially Pixar. Powered by memories of family Disney World vacations (and other happy Disney memories), this one would look like a Disney park, complete with Cinderella's castle and a giant Sorcerer Mickey hat (like they used to have at Disney's Hollywood Studios) towering over everything. Naturally, there would be a lot of Pixar stuff. It would have all of my favorite Disney World attractions (including, of course, Buzz's Space Ranger Spin) as well as stuff I'd like to see at Disney World, such as a Monsters, Inc. Door Vault ride. Oh man, that would be soooo cool!
  • Webkinz Island--Webkinz are plush toys that come with secret codes so that you can adopt virtual versions of them online. I've loved them ever since I was a little kid. This island would be powered by the memory of the adoption of my first Webkinz (Cheeseball, a Lil' Kinz gold and white cat; she's the one I play with the most often), and it would feature my favorite things in Webkinz World.
  • Technology Island--because I spend a lot of time on the computer or on my iPad. This island would be powered by the memory of the first time I used an iPad, and it would look like a level in Angry Birds with elements of my other favorite video games mixed in.
  • Creativity Island--because I like making stuff. This island would be powered by the memory of winning a kids' writing contest in the second grade, and it would be a sculpture garden showcasing my Lego creations, so it would also draw inspiration from the Legoland theme parks. There would also be literal "sticker bushes", because I like making sticker collages.

I forgot to mention that Creativity Island would also feature a showcase of papercrafts. This is a reference to a Hello Kitty cartoon I saw when I was a little kid.

With all the time I’ve had on my hands as of late, I thought I’d write up my entry. Here are mine:

  • Family island
  • Friendship island
  • Music island—I’ve got a passion for listening to and analyzing ‘70s and ‘80s music (mostly rock). My favourite bands include Chilliwack, The Police, Fleetwood Mac and Queen.
  • Mid-Century modern design island—well, anything ‘50s up to 1989. I just love looking at the culture and style of those particular eras—especially the ‘60s where the shapes and angles can be really fun to riff off of whenever I’m drawing something mid-century inspired. I’m very, very influenced by the work of Pixar art director Deanna Marsigliese, so a lot of my work tends to be reminiscent of her stuff.
  • Pixar island—pretty much a no-brainer. I’ve been fascinated by animation since seeing Ratatouille at age three and have been in love with Pixar ever since. I later got more and more serious about the industry as I saw more and more Pixar films over the years—and then Inside Out just struck me and inspired me to dig deeper and I eventually realized that this was what I wanted to do as a career. As of right now, I’m currently working towards getting into animation at Sheridan College and I aspire to take on a job in character design or CG animation in the industry.
  • Art island—guess this would be connected to Pixar island. Art’s pretty much something that’s been with me my entire life. My Mom, who’s a painter by hobby, gave me painting lessons from a young age. I kinda went off and did my own stuff until I got serious and decided to get into animation.
  • Toy history island—I love looking into the history of antique toys and the toy restoration process. It’s fun to consider that when analyzing the design from the Toy Story films, and I guess that’s one of many things that makes that universe so intricate and studiable!!
