So it was confirmed by John Lassetter himself that Incredibles 2 is not going to have a time skip, and will pick up immediately where the first one left off.

See the interview here.

He also is teasing the crap out of us fans by saying "Jack Jack is FANTASTIC in the Incredibles 2"

It also looks like we were right with our prediction that Incredibles 2 will only begin with The Underminer. John Lasseter said it's a "big action set piece"

Which means Jack-Jack's going to be the surprise factor yet again, just like what he was in the original film.

So this means that the Underminer's the main villain in the sequel (or at least a major villain).

Oh you gotta love Jack Jack!!

John Lassetter said that the movie will begin with the underminer, I highly doubt he will be the main villain though. He will get the "bon voyage" treatment if you ask me. But just in 1 hour we will hear more about this movie!!

Lol, I remember my 5 year old self who didn't have any idea how movie studios worked thinking a sequel was bound to come out in at least a year. Lol, it was until I was around 10 when I realized it wasn't going to happen. And then they announced the movie when I was 14!! I'm 18 now and will be 19 when the sequel comes out and holy crap It's still very surreal to me that this is happening. I know it sounds dumb, but it really is lol.

Ha! Yeah. Fourteen years - I can barely believe it! Good thing Pixar have a good track record for slow followups, or I'd worry about the 'Blues Brothers 2000/Dumb and Dumber To' effect.

Does anyone know if they're going to release any pictures, maybe some character models? I really thought we would get a new poster, (teaser trailer was a long shot)

So, it was announced via the D23 Expo app that Brad Bird would be holding a signing session (along with Producers John Walker and Nicole Paradis Grindle) where they would autograph exclusive artwork from the upcoming film.

What are your thoughts on the news?

You know, I've just recently notice the raccoon on the upper right hand corner of the picture. I wonder what's the meaning behind it? I doubt that they put that up there just for the heck of it.

They revealed that the raccoon is just a tool to showcase Jack Jack's powers. Jack Jack is in the house and believes that the raccoon is a bad guy, (catapulting off the markings in the eyes looking similar to a mask). He goes outside and fights the raccoon with all of his powers.

The raccoon's inclusion on the concept art is very interesting. I wonder if it'll feature in more than just that one scene?

Other little tidbits from the promo art that might be worth mentioning:

- The version tweeted by Pixar's Twitter account is slightly different from the one TJ posted in ThePolishGent's quote above (my analysis focuses on Pixar's Twitter version, which includes a couple extra things).
- Directly under Mr Incredible, why are there so many water towers? Somebody had to go through the effort to draw that — could water towers be of relevance in the film somehow?
- Top right of the logo: there appears to be a superhero wearing a cape. Since that's the ultimate superhero fashion faux pas, the inclusion is interesting.
- Is it just me or does it look like the city is on fire?
- Under Elastigirl's leg, we see a train. However, it is a different train design than the one from the first film. The first film featured a city train on two tracks; this new train appears to possibly be a monorail, since the sides of the train spill over the rail. Additionally, the front of the new train appears more streamlined; it looks like it may be a high speed rail train (like a bullet train), rather than a city train. This is supported by the new window design — individual windows, which go with coach-style seating, rather than long and rectangular windows, which goes with public bus-style seating. Finally, the colors are also different.
- Under the train, we see a mysterious figure (I'd hazard guess female perhaps, but I'm not sure) on a motorcycle either following or chasing what appears to be Mr Incredible's car.
- Under that mysterious figure, we see some sort of futuristic Frozone-colored vehicle on water. I'm not sure if this new vehicle is indeed linked to Frozone or coincidentally just happens to be similarly colored.
- Finally, in the bottom right corner, there's a futuristic looking house. The glass-based design evokes Edna Mode's house, but the shape is different. I'm not sure if it lines up with what's seen of the Parrs' new house in the new clip, or if it's something else entirely.
