Whoa!! That's a very cool theory!

Plus, you were really spot on your predictions!!

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised too! It's crazy to think that pretty much all of my theories that I posted about back in December came true in some form or another.

Although, I still would have liked to see Dory (or any of the other Blue Tangs) make usage of their tail scalpel, but I assume they didn't address it because it wouldn't be important to the plot.

Also, @ T.J and/or Julie, we're still planning to have a discussion livestream on the film itself, right? I assume you're holding off for about a week so people can have plenty of time to see it, but be sure to let us know when it'll be, seeing as how I'm itching to hear a nice detailed discussion on the film.

When I first heard Unforgettable on YouTube, I wasn't the biggest fan! But after seeing the film, it meshed together so well!!!

I'm sure they could address that in a series of shorts! Heck, I think it would be really funny to see a short dedicated of going to the dentist and the dentists are cleaner fish! There's so many great ideas that Pixar can do!

Part of me liked that song and felt it went well but another part of me wanted something a bit cheerful!. I think I would like the credits music much more if it was just music alone without the lyrics.

That ending... It was so out of no where, but it was kind of funny how out of nowhere. [wink]

Hey - sorry for the delay in getting back on this. I'm kind of catching up overall in the forum now. Unfortunately, some health issues with my family kept me away from doing as much as we wanted covering the film...so, unfortunately, the live stream didn't happen. We tried to cover some additional thoughts in the most recent podcast we had, so you can check that out for some extra thoughts. More hangouts to come though - I'm sure the Cars 3 details will start really flowing soon.

Also...your P. Sherman (Purple Shell) and other comparisons is genius! It's kind of like how people can remember up to 10 numbers in a phone number, but more than that and our minds can't hold more. The fact that the address and details from the MLI have a similar memory pattern, really holds true to how memory works...if she can remember the whole P. Sherman, that's about her max of what she could remember. Great stuff - although I agree with you that it probably wasn't intended to align so perfectly with the Pixar crew when writing it! Ha!

Dory's search for her parents never got dull, I was always locked in and caring thanks to how they kept the parents relevant through the flashback sequences.

Absolutely, I felt I was captivated the whole time because of the pacing - you couldn't look away or you'd miss something.

Plus, whoever did the voice of little Dory did a wonderful job of capturing the personally and traits of a toddler and it really fit perfectly with little Dory's innocent look! That's what I call great casting!

Just in case you haven't heard or seen it by now, Baby Dory was voiced by Producer, Lindsey Collins' daughter (Sloan Murray). Perfect casting indeed - regardless of the family connection, it was such a great vocal performance.

Also, there could've been a montage during the sequence when they rode on the ocean current with Crush and squirt. The way it was, kinda made it seem like the trio had just gotten on and then POOF, They were suddenly off the California coast.

I agree - this was really my only questioning comment when I left. I asked Julie, "Did the pacing feel really fast?" It's not like it was a horrible thing by any means, because like I mentioned before, it helps you stay engaged in the film because your mind stays totally engaged...but it also feels a little hurried, so I get your comment.

Welcome to the forums, PixarNerd - thanks for joining us! Yeah, I kind of thought that Crush was going to be in the film a bit more as well...but after hearing an interview with Andrew Stanton and how he had to be convinced to even include Crush, I guess I'm not as surprised.
