A new version of the Bop It game from Hasbro is coming soon, as Buzz Lightyear. Interstingly the package uses the first film logo and a Toy Story 3 render of Buzz on the front, renders of various characters from Toy Story 3 & 4 on the back (nobody from TS5 nor TS5 renders of returning characters anywhere on the package), but its clearly being made because of Toy Story 5 - I can't find any currently available even on eBay, and the only retailer I can find a listing of it at is Macy's which has a ship date of by April 16 and isn't available in-store anywhere (which makes me assume 4/16 is the release date), as well as a 2026 copyright on the package.

 

The Macy's website appears to have it set up as a backorder rather than a pre-order for online purchases, but as someone who never shops at Macy's, I have no idea if that's typical for them (if they treat pre-orders and backorders as the same).

Saw some Toy Story 5 merchandise on the sales floor at Target today for the first time. It's an Elmer's slime kit that's Buzz Lightyear themed. I honestly have no idea how it specifically ties to Buzz or Toy Story as the included product is generic (sold individually as well or at least very similar - some of the specific contents I haven't seen sold loose but it could just be my store, or they could be in other current or prior kits I have zero familiarity with, I have no idea if they make glue colors specific to the kits or not) and I don't know anything about slime craft kits, but I do know these slime kits are extremely popular among kids. These are available in the arts & craft section (part of the stationary department at Target). Judging from the lack of other results on Google, it seems like Target is currently the only retailer selling it and their website listing issues for now make it in-store only. The fact its such a loose at best connection to Toy Story is probably why they get to use TS5 branding (including a TS5 render of Buzz) so early (usually new-movie product for June Pixar movies starts hitting shelves in May); I can confirm that the packaging on store shelves right now is TS5 (the online photo is not a future or placeholder package).

 

I have no idea what's up with its online listing as it doesn't appear in search results and Google does give a link on Target.com but when clicking it is says item not available, but Google does load an image.

 

 

Saw a photo on Instagram of the new Hi-Tech Buzz and Woody with Poncho figures from Mattel. Looks like the 7-inch line is being rebranded as “PlayScale.”

Saw Toy Story Goldfish at Target today - branded as the older movies but the timing makes it clear its part of the pre-TS5 phase where they're leaning into the older movies before the new movie product can hit market!

New toy story lego has been revealed I’m really not sure why these are not branded toy toy 5 or non inspired by toy story 5 nevertheless these are still really cool sets if they wanna aim these to support toy story 5 or maybe a toy story 5 Lego could come  in June we shall see. The first one is this really cool slinky dog book nook love that you can change his face expressions next up lotso another really fun one to have and it’s  exiting as this is the first lotso Lego set since 2010 toy story 3 merchandise era then the next is the little green men lego rocket blaster Lego set another awesome one all 3 of these are really cool these shall be available May 1st 2026.

According to the poster Buzz is the same as the TS4 version, Sheriff Jessie has a new expression, and Woody is missing his sheriff badge (I’m assuming no pull string either, but no back photos) and two version one with a new expression.

I spotted this toy story 5 Rex figure to pair up with this Playscale line as that’s what Mattel is calling the toy story 5 merch figure line. Found rex on eBay credit to tommys toy box. Is it just me or is the packaging reminding me of toy story 3 toy promotion back in 2010 with the massive 3 on the package for figures it’s giving me those vibes and I’m here for it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hallmark dream book for 2026 published - from Toy Story 5 they'll be making a Jessie and Smarty Pants ornament releasing in October. They're also doing a Wrapped-Up Rex (Rex wrapped in Christmas lights) and a Halloween ornament of an Alien Jack-o'-Lantern, both releasing in July and not specific to TS5.
